Phạm Thanh Tâm, better known as hot girl Tâm Tít, is a Vietnamese singer, model, and actress from Hanoi. Because she liked to sleep a lot as a child, her family nicknamed her "Tâm Tít," which eventually became her stage name as well. Most known for being an internet "hot girl" on social networks, Tâm Tít moved to Ho Chi Minh City in 2009 after placing 2nd in the Cherry Blossom Beauty pageant organized by Hisamitsu Vietnam, Binh Duong TV, and Phan Gia Group.

Popular Viet Teen 'Hot Girl'

Tâm Tít started her career as a model for many popular online games like FIFA Online 2, Linh Vương, Con Đường Tơ Lụa, and Fly for Fun. In 2009, Tâm Tít decided to pursue singing after meeting singer Đông Nhi and her manager Nguyễn Đằng Phương. As a result, Tâm Tít signed an exclusive contract to be a singer for Tinu Production -- a company founded by Đông Nhi and Nguyễn Đằng Phương. Apart from being a singer and model, Tâm Tít has also appeared in many TV programs and movies. She can be found starring next to Đông Nhi in the music video for the song Cho Em Một Lần Yêu.1

For an entertainer who appeals to the teenage demographic and has that "girl next door" image, Tâm Tít has gone through quite the transformation in the last year. She has been involved in a number of sex and money scandals that rocked the Vietnamese entertainment industry. Tâm Tít went through an ugly breakup with the older brother of pop idol Bảo Thy that played out in a very public manner with both sides attacking each other's character on Facebook for the whole world to see. Tâm Tít claimed Bảo Thy's brother was physically abusive while Bảo Thy claimed Tâm Tít was a verbally abusive, jealous gold digger. In order to defend her brother and slander Tâm Tít, Bảo Thy shared publicly text messages from Tâm Tít where she used threatening and foul language.

Bảo Thy vs Tam Tit

Not long after her messy breakup, Tâm Tít got knocked up. Can you say rebound sex? Needless to say, Tâm Tít married the father Ngọc Thành, a businessman from a wealthy family from Hanoi, in a shotgun wedding this past January while 3 months pregnant. On July 19, Tâm Tít gave birth to a baby boy. Sadly, this most likely means the end for her entertainment career. Now out of the spotlight and living the life of a regular mom, Tâm Tít only resurfaces occasionally to post baby pictures of her son Alex online.

From hot girl to MILF, Tâm Tít had a bright but short-lived Vpop career. Like a butterfly, she emerged from her cocoon and floated away before Vpop fans got a chance to fully appreciate her. Selfishly, I would like to see her get a divorce and return to the Vpop scene with an edgier concept to become the queen of hip-pop all the while combating the social stigma of being a divorced, working, single mother à la Namie Amuro.2

Tam Tit

From Teen Queen to Badass Bitch! Namie Amuro Style!

You can't always get what you want. But sometimes if you try, you might just find what you need. And I need a little bit of Ngày Tinh Khôi in my life. It's definitely my favorite Tâm Tít song. I'm a person who likes to remember the good times. So, I choose to remember Tâm Tít as the girl in the MV below and ignore all the bad stuff that happened since then.

Notes

  1. IMO, it's a bad move to have a younger and hotter girl appear in your MV if you're a singer known for your looks. After watching the MV for Cho Em Một Lần Yêu, I was like "Đông Nhi, who? Who's that other girl?"

  2. J-pop singer and icon Namie Amuro also got married in a shotgun wedding while 3 months pregnant when she was in her 20's at the height of her popularity.
