In my opinion, the 6th live show of The Remix was one of the weakest shows of this second season of Hòa Âm Ánh Sáng. It seemed to me that everyone was suffering from a serious case of Tết hangover. There was a total lack of energy in all the performances. After a two week break, you would think everyone would come back renewed, refreshed, and ready to go. Nope! Not the case. Instead, it seemed like everyone partied too hard during the Tết holiday season and are still recovering. I completely understand. It happens to me all the time. After a long vacation, I always feel like I need a second vacation just to recover from the first vacation. Coming back from a long vacation is tough. Long vacations have the tendency to completely throw you off of your normal routine, and it takes a while before you can get back into your normal flow of things.

Even the top teams, who have been consistently putting out strong performances each week, had rather lackluster performances this week. For example, Team Noo Phước Thịnh again received the highest scores. But if you ask me, it was a snoozer of a performance. To add insult to injury, Hoàng Thùy Linh didn't even perform this week due to health reasons. What kind of health reasons? I don't know. Maybe exhaustion and fatigue due to going too hard in the paint? No HTL this week. What a bummer! Hopefully, everyone gets over their Tết hangover and come back stronger next week on The Remix because at this rate The Remix will just become another Paris By Night -- a safe and family friendly Vietnamese live performance show that relies on nostalgia instead of innovation. Enough with all this old school stuff. Give me something new!
