To celebrate Valentine's Day, here's a special Valentine's Day Vpop playlist consisting of love themed MVs that were released just this week in celebration of the day of love.

Sơn Tùng M-TP has strategically been putting out new MVs this year. His first MV of the year Lạc Trôi was released on January 1st as soon as the clock struck midnight. Nơi Này Có Anh is MTP's second MV of 2017. It was released at midnight on February 14th, aka Valentine's Day. That's pretty smart if you ask me. The Vietnamese love a good commercialized holiday. In order to generate the most hype, releasing a new MV right before a major holiday seems like a smart move to me. Nơi Này Có Anh is a pretty cliché running away with your love one MV. In my opinion, you don't have to reinvent the wheel every time you do something. If you're going to do something, just do it well. That's what really matters. Nơi Này Có Anh is a pretty catchy song, and that's what ultimately will keep me coming back for some more MTP.

Dat boi Soobin Hoàng Sơn collaborated with Mì Gõ (a Vietnamese YouTube comedy channel) to do a parody of his hit song Đi Để Trở Về for Valentine's Day. Đi Để Trở Về is a song about going back home for Tết. Chơi Để Hiểu Chàng is a song about becoming closer to your partner by accepting and understanding their gaming hobby. You should never hide who you are from your partner. If they don't understand or respect your hobbies, then you probably shouldn't be with them. For example, I like video games and Asian pop music. If I dated someone who didn't like that fact, then I'm dumping them like a sack of potatoes the first chance that I get. How can I connect with someone who doesn't understand an important part of my identity? Not going to be able to do it!

DJ/Producer SlimV decided to drop his debut MV on Valentine's Day. According to SlimV, Bỏ Lại Thế Giới is a song made to lift the spirits of all those people who are FA. For those of you who are not in the know, FA is Vietnamese internet slang for a single person. FA is an abbreviation for the English words "forever alone," which is a popular internet meme. Bỏ Lại Thế Giới is a solid debut MV from SlimV. I really enjoy EDM songs with catchy vocals. Calvin Harris and David Guetta know what's up. If you want to be a popular DJ, then you have to produce radio friendly songs. Bỏ Lại Thế Giới is one such song. Gimmie that future bass!

Not to be out done by SlimV, DJ/Producer Hoaprox released his own MV this Valentine's Day. In this remix of Yêu 5, Hoaprox demonstrates why he is one of Vietnam's best young DJs. Yêu 5 is the fifth "Yêu (Love)" song in a series of underground releases by music producer, rapper, and musician Rhymastic of the Space Speakers crew. The MV for this Yêu 5 remix is your standard romantic get away MV like MTP's Nơi Này Có Anh. However, I found the visual effects in this MV made it that much more enjoyable to watch.

Here's a bonus video from Đinh Hương that I decided to include here just because I thought it was underappreciated. It came out last year, but I don't think many people have heard it. Babie has a very retro pop sound to it that I like. There aren't that many Vietnamese pop songs that use this style of music. Guess who wrote it? Cao Bá Hưng -- the yung boi with the old soul.
