Although Valentine's Day has gone and passed, I have decided to put together a re-selection of new Valentine's Day and love themed Vpop songs that I thought are worth talking about.

If you read my post about androgynous Vpop singers recently, then you will be familiar with this Vietnamese pop singer. Composed and sung by Vũ Cát Tường, this Valentine's Day MV plays out like a fancy fashion magazine. As a fan of lyric MVs, I thought Em Ơi was cool as f*ck! I'm sure someone has done something similar before, but it was the first time I have ever seen a MV with this visual style. Pure genius! Also, the male vocals by Hakoota was a nice touch to break up the monotony of the song as time went by. It's kind of like how you have to change things up in the bedroom to spice things up. You know what I'm saying? JK.

I Need Your Love by Sĩ Thanh is a pretty well-done Vietnamese pop MV. There's nothing bad I have to say about it. Visually, it looks great. I do find Sĩ Thanh quite pleasing to look at. However, this MV really doesn't get my loins going. But Sĩ's not you, it's me. I just don't like slow romantic love songs in general. It's a me problem and not a you problem.

First Emotion by Dương Hoàng Yến kind of falls into the same category of Sĩ Thanh's I Need Your Love for me. It's a good MV, in my opinion, but it just isn't all that memorable to me. It doesn't get me all that excited. It's one of those one-and-done MVs for me. Hit it and quit it! Just like I do with my women. Just kidding y'all.

Ông Bà Anh is a song that has been quite popular with the Vietnamese youth since Le Thien Hieu sung it on Sing My Song. Ông Bà Anh, which means my grandparents, is a cute love song about the beauty of how love blossomed before technology became so prevalent. In this Valentine's parody for Pepsi called Yêu Là Phải Nói, Vietnam's biggest YouTuber and social media influencer Phở Đặc Biệt satirizes modern day love vs courtship in the past. You mean you couldn't slide into the DMs or use Tinder in the past? That's wack!
